The Warrumbungle Mountains are renowned for their clear skies and pristine environment. They have a unique climate and many different soil types. There is also a wide variety of floral species, both native and introduced and this means that there are many different types and flavours of honey that are distinctive to the area.
At Warrumbungle Mountain Honey we aim to take advantage of the unique situation we live in to produce honey that is pure and individual. We have ten apiary sites on our property which is situated in an area that has a range of floral sources for most of the year. Consequently, there is no need to move the bees and this means that at different times of the year, different types of honey are produced.
We liken our honey to wine, every site and each year is different. We try to take advantage of this so that we can offer a range of styles and flavours. We don't over process our honey to ensure that the natural goodness of honey is not interfered with.
